Alumni Update


Eleventh Annual Honored Alumni Awards

Three graduates of the Department of Soil & Crop Sciences have been selected to be the eleventh annual honored alumni award recipients. They are Kevin Donnelly, Walter Henes (in absentia) and Ignacio Romagosa and were our guests at our Honored Alumni Award Ceremony and Luncheon on September 9, 2011.

 

Dick Hecker

Kevin Donnelly

Kevin completed his PhD research on wheat physiology and taught Crop Science lab and Crop Response to Environment in 1978.

From 1998-2008 he was Assistant Dean for Academic Programs at Kansas State University and then returned to teaching Agronomy at K-State.


IGnacio romagosa

A plant-breeding specialist, Ignacio graduated from CSU in 1980 with an MS iand in 1983 with a PhD.

Ignacio taught at the University of lleida in Catalonia, Spain for over 25 years as well as teaching university classes in Argentina, Guatemala, Italy and the Netherlands.


Walter Henes

Walter graduated from CSU with a BS degree in Agronomy in 1989. During his college career he was a Certified Seed Crop Inspector for the Colorado Seed Growers.

Walter is currently serving as the Production manager of the Beach Farm and is responsible for all crop management for this 650 irrigated acre farm.
